I’ll be in St. Louis, MO November 18. Come see Alexandra Ott, McCall Hoyle and me at the Barnes and Noble in Ladue for a Young Reader/YA Author Panel Saturday morning at 10:30. Then head over to the NCTE conference where we’ll be doing another panel with fellow Class of 2k17 member Leah Henderson about Refreshing and Renewing Reading in the Secondary Classroom at 1:30.

Kit and I will be at the 23rd Annual Women Writing the West Conference in Tucson, Arizona in October. I’ll be presenting about writing great characters on Saturday October 28. Later that day I’ll be signing books with some amazing authors, so come by and say hi!

I’ll be at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago June 24 and 25th. Come visit me for a signing at the Albert Whitman Booth on Saturday and at the PopTalk Stage on Sunday where I’ll be taking about the importance of location in fiction with fellow Class of 2k17 members, Leah and Jodi!

Kit and I are coming to Portland on May 22! Janet Johnson, Heidi Schultz, and I will be talking about books and writing at Annie Blooms Bookstore at 7:00 pm. I hope you’ll join us!
Three middle grade authors talk about the real-world inspiration for the characters, friendships, and adventures in their books. They’ll discuss their writing process and how life inspires their creativity, leaving time for a Q&A session with the audience.
